You put me in a sharing mood. I was at a political campaign meeting where most people were white, but not everyone. Some white idiot asked what we planned to do when the opponent played the race card. “Damn” I replied, “a fart would be preferrable to that tainted phrase”. I have no idea where that came from, but out it came – and loudly too. It was one of those show-stoppers where you could hear a pin drop.

Over the years, half a dozen people at that meeting told me they could not think of that phrase, or hear it, without thinking of a fart. Apparently, word spread cause several people who had not been at that meeting told me the same thing.
