Yesterday, I read this article in Time Magazine - link below. It answered a couple questions that had puzzled me. For example, why weren't counter-protestors in DC on the day of the riot? Also, every time Trump made a move, people responded so fast, I knew someone was watching, but not who.
When Clinton replaced the grassroots Democratic Networks with the Democratic Leadership Council, I knew we were in trouble.
It took a while, but people finally organized themselves again, then stitched their networks back together. In my mind, BLM deserves 100% of the credit for that feat. Without BLM, white Americans would have sat on their butts waiting for someone to do the hard work for them. Thanks to BLM's leadership, enough people got off their butts fast enough to save Democracy.
We absolutely must keep building grassroots organizations where we live and focus on changing the country one street, one neighborhood at a time, We must begin in our own backyards - the land we know best. .
