When you write your last paragraph, try using it as your introduction was some of the best advice I ever received.

Trying to lead people through your thinking process, sharing everything you know, is laborious. However, if you tell them the conclusion first, then lead them through your thinking, examples and information, readers are able to connect the dots for themselves.

While I have no idea what creative non-fiction writing is all about, I do know that a lot of people read the last page of a novel before they start the book. Knowing where the story is going, helps people follow the story, almost like having an idea of what they are looking for, makes them sharper readers. The movie, Stranger Than Fiction, is a good example of this.

As always, Tessa, thank you for being here.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
