Until I saw myself on video, I had no idea that my hands and facial expressions were talking too.

People do not realize how loudly their facial expressions, hands and posture speak. You may say one thing, but your entire body could be saying the opposite. Until we learn to coordinate our mouth and body language, people will read us instead of hear us.

My desk is opposite the service counter, so I can see interactions. Believe you me, white people have really loud body language when they talk with black people behind the counter. I can’t hear what they are saying, but I can read their body language.
