Until found myself the go-to for young people trying to cook for themselves, I had not realized how much there was to know about cooking and baking.

The science baked into baking is kind of shocking. Baking powder or baking soda? Flour or cornstarch, potato starch? What do you mean natural? Butter or margarine? You mean crisco? What's lard? Herbs and seasonings.

The skill set is huge. Cream, mix, fold, beat, or whip? Coat, drench, or dip? Feed yeast? OMG, you mean its alive? Fry, bake, sauté, brown, roast, grill, boil, steam, oh my.

Sorry Bicho, you don't have enough years left to learn how to cook and bake now.
