The rampant sexual abuse of women is just one of the horrific consequences of patriarchy. Men with bodies so broken, they can barely move without pain, and dying young is another. Men with psychological wounds so severe, everything feels like a trauma trigger is another.

For a hundred years or more, we’ve had the technology and knowledge necessary to end all human-body/mind destroying work. For that reason, I object to any work that destroys a person’s physical or mental health.

Unfortunately, patriarchs chose to use human labor, rather than machines to do the work. Take computer technology for example. Instead of developing machines to do back-breaking work, the tech crowd developed social media. Instead of developing battery storage capacity, the tech crowd built massive heat generating cloud server buildings.

If some powerful patriarch, like a president, general or senator, wants to use a drone to kill people on the other side of the planet, we have the technology to put the ‘kill’ button on his desk. Why then, do powerful patriarchs choose to put the ‘kill’ button on the desks of men beneath them instead? Moral wounds is the answer. Patriarchs refuse to subject themselves to the moral wounds that murdering people causes, for they rarely heal.

At the end of the day, I want the girls and boys and the men and women that I love to come home healthy, strong, and whole. I want our old people to be as well cared for and protected as our infants.

I want a whole and healthy society and planet, and getting rid of the patriarchy is where that world begins. :)

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
