Sharon, I was there too, and you are telling it correctly. The Democrats devotion to corporations really alienated me, but for rural communities like mine, Republicans were much worse.
Bottom line, rural Americans have not had representation in Washington DC since Clinton was elected.
When Clinton's hand-picked 'Democratic Leadership Council' took over the Democratic Party, they made the decision to focus on the suburbs, and removed ALL resources from rural America. We never saw Democrats again. Worse yet, the Democratic Party repeatedly refused to support our home grown candidates and funded their own choice instead. After 20+ years of that garbage, rural America was blood-red Republican.
Apparently, I felt the need to vent. :)
