Rogue, you and I have different understandings of the issues in Ukraine.
In 2019, Zelensky ran on a pro-Democracy, anti-corruption, peace platform and was elected by more than 70% of his people.
In May 2019, Zelensky took office and began work to end the five-year long conflict with Russia (that he’d inherited from Poroshenko). 10 months later, in March 2021, Russia began a massive military build-up on the Ukrainian border. On February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine, invaded the conflict zones and moved west seizing additional territory along the way.
If I understand Trump correctly, he plans to surrender all of Ukraine to Russia and call it peace. Trump has mentioned no conditions at all, suggesting he plans to offer Putin an unconditional surrender. I think Harris is correct. If Trump gives Ukraine to Russia, Putin will move to seize the other 14 independent countries, that were once a part of old Russian empire.
Inasmuch as most of Ukraine’s pro-Russian separatists have been under Russian control since 2014, why are you placing their views above those of the free Ukrainian majority who overwhelmingly back Zelensky and Democracy?
For the Ukrainian people this is a war for independence, rooted in their own pro-Democracy movement that began in 2014.
