Plurabus, stop already. What’s the point in calling the NYTimes magazine an insert? You sound like you’re in junior high.

Instead of slave, you actually decided to go with “Black indentured servant”? Did you think it made you sound smart? This is 2022, do you really think you can put another coat of whitewash on slavery now? Were you just trying to annoy me?

Next thing I know, you’re citing the Heritage Foundation as a source. Are you so ignorant, you don’t know the purpose of a Think Tank? Calling someone a “visiting fellow” or “policy analyst” does not bestow expertise, people have not earned. Titles do not turn Think Tank minions into scholars. But you cited these servile dependent underlings, so let’s see what they have to say about the 1619 Project.

Oh here’s a good one and I quote from your chosen resource. “To the Times, the dates and documents that typically mark our starting point do not deserve that honor. … Our Founders’ own statements at the Constitutional Convention, speeches, and private correspondence thereafter paint a very different picture of their views on slavery and how it shaped the Constitution.”

That’s a blatant lie. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Let’s let Thomas Jefferson speak for himself — shall we?

Okay, I’m done. Now go do your homework.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
