One last comment. I tend to read a lot, and often post links with my comments. A month of so ago, I posted a link to a lengthy, NYTimes story about the history of Haiti. It was a very long read, but I figured someone might be interested.

And then, in one of Laura Quainoo's pieces, she had posted a video on the history of Haiti. I watched the video and it encasluted all the important points of the NYTimes piece in a short few minutes.

And a light bulb went on in my head.

Remember Cliff Notes? We'd get assigned a book and instead of reading the book, we'd read the Cliff Notes.

Well, videos are modern day Cliff Notes. Our time is limited and no one has time to study tens of thousands of years of history. Thanks to Laura, I will try to find a good Cliff Note Video to post with any lengthy piece that I link to. :)
