NYTimes op-ed writer, Nicholas Kristoff's newsletter came in and I thought this part worth posting here. Kristoff writes:

"The Changing American Landscape Regarding Israel. It’s notable that two of the senators most willing to stand up for the people of Gaza are Bernie Sanders and Jon Ossoff, both Jews. Indeed, today the strongest supporters of Netanyahu’s hard-line policies are not American Jews but white evangelical Christians. A Pew survey last year found that fewer than one-third of young Jews in the United States rated Netanyahu as good or excellent, and barely one-quarter strongly opposed the B.D.S. movement to boycott Israel."

So too, Natanayahu garnered only 35% of Israeli's vote in the last of the last four elections. Given the alignment of American Jews and Israelis, it begs the question: Why are America's white Christian Evangelicals supporting hard-liners?

PS. My overly wordy comment is my way of saying, that I believe you, Mr. Spivey, are on the right side of history.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
