My forte in writing was the built environment - the environments we build for ourselves (and other people). :Lots of systems, data, studies, laws,
My discipline emerged out of Industrial Design, (often called product design) which revolved around the relationship between humans and their products (or the things they produce / make / manufacture).
Instead of products, Environmental Design focused on the relationship between humans and the environments they build. Now that people are forced to live in environments other people design and build for them, its an emotionally laden subject.
