Ms. Tolbert, I appreciate your question and respect your desire to pursue this independently. Google will provide pages of reference material on any of the institutions I mentioned.

However, I got the one statistic that I began with - "89.9% of those convicted of sexually abusing children are white men" - from a government report. Any time the government collects data that could identify individuals and thereby violate their privacy, that data is withheld from public view. In my own, personal experience, I've encountered that situation with both pedophiles and the profile of women who seek abortions.
