Mr. Goorha, I suspect our differing opinions, revolve around our differing points of view.

To me, it’s like reading the work of Frederick Douglass and Thomas Jefferson. While both men are telling the truth, they see the world from opposite points of view. If Frederick Douglass had owned Thomas Jefferson, Jefferson would have written something similar to what Indi wrote.

History is not history, unless, or until, it records all points of view. Naturally, the rich and powerful prefer their side of the story to remain the only story on the record. However, deeds make history, not intentions.

With regret, I agree with the historical record: Thomas Jefferson was a tyrant. The beauty of Jefferson’s ideas was not matched by his deeds. As a result, history will remember Thomas Jefferson as a tyrant who wrote a lot of pretty words.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
