Mr. Gilmore, I made my point badly. When I read your article, I remembered my surprise when Kleins piece about Malm’s book and an attack on Klein came out the same day – and that is what I responded to. I apologize and offer you an explanation.

In 1971, the future Supreme Court Justice, Lewis Powell, released a memo, now known as “A Call-to-Arms for Corporations”. Billionaires responded to Powell’s memo, by establishing foundations to fund, organize and mobilize, what they called the “Conservative Movement”. Heavily funded, conservative ThinkTanks, non-profits and political action committees soon followed.

Today, these billionaire controlled thinktanks attack anything that goes against their agenda. As self-appointed gatekeepers of history, their attack on Nikole Hannah-Jones’1619 Project was vicious. As gatekeepers of education, their attack on Critical Race Theory was an attack on public schools. As gatekeepers of the law, their attack on the United States Supreme Court took 50 years to complete. As gatekeepers of “human-resources” the overturning of Roe v Wade was designed to guarantee themselves, a back-breaking, low-wage, subservient workforce for all the shitty jobs in the future. I could go on, but will stop here. I apologize.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
