Mr. Enghiem, I can't express how valuable your thinking is to me.
As a rural American, I suspect my own circumstances explain my unwavering support for Ukrainian’s fight for independence. Among the best kept secrets, rural America is still a colony – an ‘internal’ colony, but a colony nonetheless. Simply put, we are run by corporations – not Democracy.
Like Russia’s 4.2 Billion acres of land, America’s 2.2 Billion acres of land makes it possible to hide the brutal exploitation of rural Americans from the world, including the 82% of Americans who reside in cities (on less than 3% of our total land mass). For the record, when I say brutal exploitation, I do mean brutal – the sh-t I’ve personally witnessed corporations, and their paid thugs, pull out here is horrific. Rural Americans hold on to their guns, because corporations send their paid guns into our communities – “to keep the peace.”
Mr. Engheim, your plan for peace in Ukraine sparked me to think differently about our circumstances here in rural America. It will take a little time to weave this new thinking into my brain, but I thank you for the spark of inspiration
