Mr. Custer, your comment touched me. It sounds like you live in a very conservative region ( like me). If so, I found a couple sources that you might find as meaningful as I do.

The first is Beau of the Fifth column (The discussions of a southern journalist who is tired of a lack of common sense). Beau provides political analyses on a daily basis. Not only is he is very, very good at it, he speaks my language, his pieces are short and I recommend him to you. https://www.youtube.com/c/BeauoftheFifthColumn

Since you are talking about racism here, I suggest you start with 3 of Beau’s older ones…

Let's talk about what it's like to be a black person in the US

Let's talk about being armed and black

Let's talk about 3 letters that can make rural whites understand the fear minorities have of cops.

As they say, laughter is the best medicine, and my second suggestion is Trae Crowder, the Liberal Redneck, a stand-up comedian from Tennessee. Last Friday night, my daughter and I saw Trae Crowder at the Opera house, here in Lexington, Kentucky (about 50 miles from our homes). The theater was full. I love stand up comedy, but last Friday night was the first time, I’ve heard an audience laugh, clap and cheer, non-stop for an hour and a half straight.

Here's the link to Crowder’s page. To get a quick sense of this comedian, I suggest you scroll down to his Porch Rants.

I am glad to know you are out somewhere, out there Mr. Custer.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
