Most Medium writers have very few, if any, ideas to share - and even fewer have big ideas. And that troubles me as much as it disappoints me. In fact, the lack of ideas on the left, frightens me more than the far-right does. Harder still, any ideas that are generated on the left, get the same treatment from leftists, as ideas generated on the right.

Without ideas of their own, the only thing people can do is criticize those who are doing the work necessary to turn their ideas into reality.

For those reasons, I would like to see Medium pay attention to elevating idea writers. Cory Doctorow's 200,000 followers on Medium suggest that ideas, especially BIG Ideas, are needed and wanted.
