Marlene, I was you all the way, until the last paragraph. People capable of doing that have already done it. The rest of the people have not done it, because their brains were trained for obedience - not self-determination.

Thinking people have a bad habit of trying to convince people that obedience is wrong at best, and dangerous at its worst.

Unfortunately, people trained for obedience honestly believe that their job in life is to do what they are told to do, while thinking is the job of the people who tell them what to do. Obedience trained minds take great pride in doing what they are told. They also take great pride in obedience to their leaders, which makes them feel like a team member, a part of something bigger than themselves. That is the reason, I pay so much attention to the leaders of those trained in obedience.
