Last night, I tossed and turned. Unable to sleep, I found myself making plans for what to do, when a gunman enters my life. Not if, but when.

Last night, I did not realize that I had reached the Tipping Point of fear.

This morning I woke to the news of 10 people shot dead at a Lunar New Year Festival.

Every one of us, without exception, is now a target for mass-murderers. Nowhere is safe. Mass-murderers can find us anywhere and everywhere. We will be dead before we can remember the faces of those we loved, who loved us in return.

Bullets are flying into children’s bedrooms while they sleep. Bullets are whizzing past us and killing children strapped into car seats. Children are watching children die. Children are watching parents die. Children are watching siblings die. Children are watching teachers die. Children are watching armed security guards die. It won’t be…
