Like every other classification, rural is viewed and treated as a monolith, but region ( geography) makes a difference in the culture that emerged. If you don't mind telling me what part of the country you are in, I'd have a better idea of what you mean by the demographic.

Personally, I like the slower pace rural life provides as it allows me to focus on things that matter, rather than minute by minute navigation required of urban life.
