Kate, great observation. The most instructive studies are the "outliers". The outliers have the answers the majority desperately need.

We don't need any more studies telling us what "most" people do. We need to know answers to questions, like...Why did this person NOT follow the crowd? Why was this person able to stay true to their morals? What made this person good when everyone around them turned evil?
