Janey, I don’t know if I should admit ignorance or stupidity here. I’ve been asking the same question for fifty years and still don’t have the answer. Until feminists are able to explain their vision, I have no way of knowing what they want. If you know what the feminist vision is, please share it.

Telling me to “leave feminism to feminists” sounds like a right-wing/pro-life talking point. Is feminism part of the conservative, Christian-right movement?

If you’ve been abused, I am genuinely sorry. But if you and I were to enter “the women are abused and not treated fairly Olympics” I’d leave you in the dust, choking on my experience and wondering what the Hell just happened. That said, everyone has a different definition for “abuse”. So tell me, what do you mean by abuse? Is your definition based on personal experience or sympathy for the abused?

Personally, I would rather spend a few days in labour birthing children, than spend 93,000 hours of my life doing plumbing work. You’re a plumber – really? Are you saying that you have personally obtained permits, dug wells or trenches, laid pipes, plumbed entire buildings, installed gas lines, faucets, appliances, water heaters, outdoor spigots, sprinkler systems, and shut off valves, and passed inspections? Are you a licensed plumber?
