I've been working on presidential campaigns since 1972 (when McGovern got 17 electoral votes and Nixon got 520). FDR, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, JFK and Robert Kennedy was the motivation that kept me going for 44 years.

That said, I never forgot the lesson of FDR. A few months after winning his fourth term as president, FDR was on holiday at a spa, "sitting" for a portrait when he died. He was 63 years old. In 1944, a country united by the Great Depression and World War 2 weathered FDRs death with ease.

In 2024, America is NOT strong enough to survive the death of a president. I don't care if its Trump or Biden, this country cannot survive either one of their deaths in office.

Watching Ruth-Bader-Ginsberg, Nancy Pelosi, Donald Trump, Diane Feinstein, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Mitch McConnell, hold onto power, as though they were G-ds instead of mortals - infuriates and disgusts me.

Old politicians, old billionaires, and old power brokers have been holding this country back for decades and it is time for all of them to go.

As far as I'm concerned, once you turn 65, your power trip is over and you can serve the next generation as a mentor and advisor - or golf.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
