It has always seemed to me, that trade was what China wanted most. The facts make the reason clear. Simply put, China has a Billion more people than the United States.

With a relatively miniscule 340-million people, America can't even manage an election, let alone a pandemic.

Americans invented globalization and drove neoliberal economic policies across the planet and now we are whining and complaining about our own invention.

Oh, China is so unfair, whine my fellow citizens, China "stole" our jobs, China is gutting our manufacturing, China stole our technology, on and on the whining goes.

China did none of those things. Americans sold our jobs to China. Americans gave our technology to China. Americans gave our manufacturing capacities to China. Americans enriched themselves by educating Chinese students. Americans did these things, because it made them filthy rich.

Instead of listing China's historical crimes, Americans should be examining our own history for all the lessons we should have learned and didn't. American history is where Americans will find the source of our troubles.

China didn't steal our pork industry. China bought it. China pays American hog farmers to raise pork for the Chinese people. Americans got rich selling American land, American water, American factories, American air quality, American technology, American infrastructure and American jobs to the Chinese.

All that money is gone, it was sent offshore, and hidden on little islands.

Wake up folks, just YESTERDAY, the last remaining American pork producing giant - went under. Poof, its gone and took all the jobs down with it. We are drowning under the weight of our own stupidity.

Americans hate regulation. Now China's interests are doing the regulating instead of us. Americans hate government. Well, we got what we wanted; no one is governing us. Worse yet, we are ungovernable.

Just this week, a new SCOTUS justice was sworn into office. The whole world watched American's utter disregard for rules and fairness and precedent. The message was loud and clear: America is down.

People without a government are people without a country.

The Chinese have a country. Americans have a house with a yard and a mortgage they will never finish paying off.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
