Instead of fighting algorithms, I find a new site. After a year here on Medium, I come back to read the few writers whose work I value, but I don't waste my time fighting the algorithm to find new ones.

The only way I will read someone else's work is when one of the writers I follow mentions one. I've already opened GG's two recommendations and will read them next. Without GG, those writers didn't stand a chance of my reading their work.
