I'm embarrassed by my reply - and I apologize to you.
When I started in business, here in the states, medical expenses were tax deductible. Reagan started trickling down, and suddenly only a percentage of medical was deductible. It kept trickling down, until only those in excess of my entire income were deductible. Roar.
Regarding credit card companies. My mother was 75 and in hospital, I was cleaning her house, getting ready to bring her home, when the phone rang. It was a credit card company, Mom was late with her payment. Long story short, Mom had been watching the QVC channel and when they offered her credit, she took it. Mama was $16,000.00 in debt.
Umm, gee Mr. Credit Card Man, but, umm, Mama lives on social security, she ain't got a penny to her name.
