I was just a teenager, when my mother told me "mothers are our memory keepers". It wasn't until I was a mother that I understood her meaning. Mothers hold our memories we are too young to recall.

It seems to me that you held your children's memories as though they were your own and now you have returned them, whole, intact and as beautiful as they were lived.
