I think your instincts are spotless.

The conversation has changed and the grievance genre is losing claps. Those claps are addictive, and I was worried about the writers here on Medium who got hooked on the uglies. I was even more worried when one writer posted a rebuke for readers who had failed to clap.

While I am hoping the grievance writers catch up, I see no sign they even realize the conversation has changed. I fear they are trapped in The Haque-Away, reliving their 15 minutes of fame. Rinse. Repeat.
