I suspect that Europe's lack of trade goods is what inspired China's Belts and Roads Initiative. If the world order revolved around trade, Europe would collapse very quickly.

Even now, Europe still can't feed itself, or keep warm in winter, without global assistance. Europe still doesn't have enough natural resources to produce trade goods for the global market.

Europe gained power by exporting terror, violence, fear and destruction - all of which required great numbers of human sacrifice. In exchange for human sacrifices, European rulers sold their subjects Christ's promise of life after death.
