I should, I really should, but I can't help myself. Sometimes, the stuff that slips out my mouth can really open up my eyes.

I moved from California and said "bless your heart" to express my appreciation to a new neighbor. Turns out, the expression is such a hard put-down here, even tone of voice can't overcome it. Pulling it out of my vocabulary took some work.
