I haven't heard anyone mention the Red Letter bible in ages.

Once you read the red letters (the words of Jesus Christ) you KNOW every other passage is politics (a human quest for power).

I was not raised a Christian, and am not one now, but I was genuinely sorry to see it wasn't strong enough to withstand an organized attack by the rich and powerful. Its been 30 years since I heard a preacher quote Jesus.
