I could not agree more, this time must be the last time.

David, I’ve spent the last few months digging through much older history. Twenty years ago, I read a book about corporations and now that I had time, I wanted to retrace that history on my own. No matter which way I turn, history keeps taking me back to the same place in time – the 1400s, and the dawn of the Age of Discovery.

Hopefully, I will find time to write about the connections between the 1400s, the Tulsa Race Massacre, and today’s MAGA movement. For now, suffice to say, that history keeps repeating itself, because corporations and Christian institutions are still using the same playbook. Today, the tech bros and billionaire class are still using that 500-year-old playbook.

In an October 2023 article, the Oklahoman observed. “Parallel tragedies: “Killers of the Flower Moon," Tulsa Race Massacre started 3 days apart”

Last week I watched the new Netflix series American Primeval. It’s a brutal film, but it helps illustrate the Zionist bent in Christianity, that has re-emerged over and over in American evangelism with the same fervor, and violent nature as it has since the first colonists arrived on these shores. Today, MAGA is carrying the torch.

I’d never heard of the Mountain Meadows Massacre and looked it up (it was a real event). In 1857, one of many sects of White Christian Zionists slaughtered 120 white men, women, children, and infants. In this case, Mormons did the slaughtering. Nonetheless, Mormonism is just one of hundreds of different sects of White Christian Zionism that emerged out of the alliance of white Christian evangelism and corporations, formed in the 1400s.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
