I am reminded here of your article on AI and the legal profession. Here is the connection. Apparently, Tyler Perry was invited to a big AI demonstration for filmmakers and he was so blown away by the technology he put an $800-million dollar expansion of his studios on hold.

Now here is my concern. Creativity needs constant stimulation. If filmmakers, musicians, or any creative allows themselves to get isolated their creativity atrophies, and slowly dies. Perry's work of late is increasingly formulaic. If Perry acquires AI, he will have no need of stage, set, costume, writers, make-up or other creative craftspeople that season big bodies of work - like films - and could easily find his creativity has withered away completely.

Believe it or not, that was the same concern I had with the legal profession after reading your article. People don't always remember that the professions require a lot of creativity. Accountants and attorneys are some of the most creative people I know.

Stimulating creativity is my primary reason for championing diversity in as many forms as possible. In my experience, everything is better when diversity created it.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
