Hi Mr. Kenyatta, I've been working on comments for your last 2 pieces, and here you are.
Every once in a while, I get on one of these rolls, so its fair to say, I earned my reputation honestly. Sometimes I think people prod me just to hear me go off. I've had some long public rants and it always amazed me when no one interfered.
And then, one day, someone did try and stop me. She was a school board president and I was in mid-sentence, when she slammed her wooden gavel down and said my time was up. I slammed my hand down on the podium and kept talking. She slammed her gavel again and I slammed my hand again, and suddenly we were in a gavel, hand slamming match. The look on people's faces was priceless and I almost burst out laughing, but I was pissed and kept on talking. Slam goes her gavel, slam goes my hand. I finally had enough and just started slamming my hand over and over while I was talking. Suddenly, the school board president stood up and ran out of the room (literally). Don't worry folks, I said, we need to address this issue, not her and kept on talking. Did I get what I wanted? Yes, I did. The board voted and the board president seethed.
See you soon.
