Help, do I understand this correctly? Readers tend to look for writers with high numbers of followers. For that reason, some writers are trying to increase their own number of followers, by following other writers and hoping those writers will follow them back? If that is what these writers are doing, the math does not line out - because... every time a writer follows another writer they increase the other writer's followers, thereby making their own following less impressive - right?
