Ginger, you are plagiarizing (and that is stealing). Taking someone else’s words, ideas and experiences and passing them off as your own is stealing. You even took the liberty of calling James Baldwin “Jimmy” (as though you were his buddy). Have you even read one of his books? Please show the man some respect and call him by his proper name.

Stop telling other people what they can, and cannot, talk to their friends about – and figure out why black people are NOT talking to you.

Please start sorting yourself out by remembering that Medium readers are not YOUR personal therapists or friends. Start writing your feelings down in a diary and sharing them with your therapist.

The word “research” means, the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions. Stop plagiarizing – and start quoting your sources.
