Florida's cities always seemed temporary and disposable, as though they were injection molded plastic parts (like legos). In my travels, I'm often amazed at how much the physical environments people build reflect the people who live there. That Florida's people struck me as plastic as their communities was no surprise.
That said, the everglades were stunning, at least what was left of them the last time I was there. I also love Cuban food, but Florida Cuban was no match for the real thing.
