First, let’s get your doubts about my honesty out of the way. What makes you think a small mountain community would make national news in 2007? That you never heard of this recall is part of the problem we face right now. This shit has been going on in rural communities for decades and no one cared until Trump. Trump got elected and suddenly everyone wanted to know what was wrong with rural America? Out comes the old tropes and everyone starts thinking Deliverance (the inbred, pig squealing kind of deliverance without the banjos).

You and I seem to be entering this discussion from very different realms of experience. You are a well-educated and influential urban man. I am an educated and influential member of a rural community in the middle of DF nowhere. While I may have more insight into the lily-white madness than you seem to believe, I don’t see how it matters — do you?

Again, I agree with you. The lily-white madness over CRT is organized — very well organized. Unfortunately, people buying this crap have no idea that this is a billionaire movement — not a grassroots movement.

When rural America was abandoned by liberals, it was targeted by conservatives. As a result, I’ve been fighting this shit my whole life. I may be nothing more than anecdotal, but systemic racism is like the ball at the end of a chain; it drags everyone — and I do mean everyone — down with it.

I am interested in hearing your views on racism in rural America — very interested.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
