Dr. Fokt, it would help if I had a better idea of what these men do with their time, who they spend it with, etc. Are they working or going to school? Do they live alone, or with roommates or family? What do they do with their free time – do they volunteer, have hobbies, belong to civic groups, travel, backpack, garden, etc.?

If you want to feel good, do something good – was the message in the book The Optimistic Child. Unfortunately, if you wait until you feel good to do something, you will never feel good or do anything.

I have a feeling that a lot of men and women have surrendered to their feelings, rather than doing something to change those feelings. Volunteering is an excellent way to start doing something without any pressure or expectations.
