America has been fighting its war on poverty for 55 years and now there are ten times as many Americans living in abject poverty. There are homeless men, women and children living on the streets in every town, rural community and city in the country.

Big News this week: Singaporean scientists have developed a Covid vaccine. Now people have 3 vaccines to choose from.

Singaporeans are healthy people, with a Universal Healthcare system. They've had had 58,000 cases of Covid and 29 deaths. Their median income is $55,000. a year.

Americans are not healthy people. Covid has ended the lives of 256,000 Americans. Our median income is $64,000. a year. We spend 10-20% of our income on health insurance.

I could go on and on and on and on. But what's the point. While the rest of the world was pulling themselves out of poverty, America was bragging about how deep they were digging themselves into it.
