As a rural American, I am keenly interested is seeing rural landscapes removed from white control and placed under the care of people who know how to take care of land, rather than just exploit it. Many Native Americans still view land, and water, as living beings, and care for them with that kind of reverence. Given the wanton destruction white capitalists have spread across the North American continent that is threatening to destroy the climate we depend on for our own survival, returning rural lands to Native Americans makes sense to me.

PA. Boy, I do not know you, or the circumstances of your life, but white people that I've heard say what you said here about black people, have one thing in common. They do not have personal friends who are black, they've never worked for black employers, and they've never been the only white person in a group of people. If any of that is true of you, do you think that might explain our different points of view?

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
