If Ocasio-Cortex was talking about the relationship between U.S. interference in South American countries and the resulting poverty, corruption and violence from which people are now seeking refuge in the U.S. she is absolutely correct. That said, honesty is not tone deaf; people need to know it is not safe to come to the U.S.. anymore.
