...and then there's cowboy coffee. Place stone ground coffee beans in pot, fill with water, place on fire and wait. When it smells "done" (knowing the proper aroma is a real thing), move pot off fire and wait for grounds to settle (that's why you need stone ground, not fine ground beans), then pour a cup of coffee and keep pot near, but not on, fire to keep warm.

Re-use stone ground beans for several days. It will take a little longer each day to reach proper aroma.

Cowboy coffee is so good, I married the cowboy who made the best cup I ever tasted. :)
