After poor cash flow, poor capital management and poor employee skills, growth puts the next largest percentage of businesses, out of business. Sounds like Medium is learning that lesson now. If so, they better figure out what they want to be, then set some limits or they'll be broke in no time at all.
Personally, I find the growing number of Medium writers, writing how to write articles annoying. Naturally, there are some outstanding writers here, but they are not the ones writing how to write articles.
Like it or not, Medium is still a vanity press, in on-line form. Technical writing is my thing and that is not the general public's cup of tea.
To support my work, I come to Medium to get personal stories, experience, observations and opinions - and I learn a lot. Quite often, these personal stories explain, or illuminate data and statistics, in ways nothing else can.
JD, if I thought I could offer anything at all, to ease your journey with cancer, I would do it. But I don't. I saw my husband through three years of cancer and he took such a big part of me with him, it took several years to piece myself together. I suppose that's my way of saying, I hope you leave your wife as well loved and appreciated, as my man left me. Since it sounds like you do, I have nothing else to offer.
