According to the stats that Medium sends via email, I have 146 followers. Will someone tell me how I got followers, when I did not write anything – but comments?

If anyone is interested . . .

Sometimes I forget to clap. It doesn’t mean anything, I just forget.

Personally, I like it when writers put links at the bottom of the page. When it’s a new subject for me, those links help me get started (thanks all).

One writer told me not to post links in her comments, but I liked her reason. She said she felt responsible for making sure links in “her” comment section were okay for her readers. Since she did not have time to check out links, she did not want them in her comments. She went on to blast me about the link I posted having nothing to do with her subject. Trouble is her blast told me her self-acclaimed great research skills were low She did not need to open the link to recognize the name in that link.

Last week, a writer got upset with me and listed off a bunch of famous people who agreed with him. Unbelievable, but true. I googled those names and discovered the Medium writer had pretty well plagiarized those writers’ work.

People might want to be careful with their links. Instead of validating you, they can also expose you.

Rural America is my home. I serve diner, gourmet, seven course, and homecooked thoughts — but spare me chain food served on thoughtless trains of thought.
